Civil Construction

Civil construction focuses on building core infrastructures such as sewers, water mains, highways, and roads. We build the physical assets that support economic growth and development. As a sub-discipline of civil engineering, we solve problems with project management and design. We plan and execute construction projects, and transport the materials and equipment necessary for project development.

Rock Removal

With our extensive line-up of high-efficiency rock hammers, we can deliver cost savings over more expensive alternatives. We have several hammers varying in sizes with tool carriers ranging in weight classes from 5 ton to 50 tons in size, capable of impacts in excess of 14,000 ftp. We have the technology to break through the valley’s toughest rock. No blasting required.

CCTV Video Inspection/Flushing

Pipe flushing and CCTV video inspection is a powerful tool used to detect deficiencies in manufacturing or damage that occurred during construction. Pipe cleaning and video inspection can be included as routine maintenance to find post construction defects.

Trenchless pipe repair saves time and capital by completing repairs in under an hour, that would normally take a day or more by traditional methods. Our video inspection then verifies the repair.

Understanding HydroVac Technology: The Future of Excavation

HydroVac technology, also known as hydro excavation, represents a leap forward in the field of excavation with its innovative approach to removing soil and debris. This method leverages the power of pressurized water combined with an industrial-strength vacuum to precisely and safely excavate areas that require intricate care and skill.
Benefit 1 – Accuracy
One of the primary advantages of HydroVac technology is its accuracy. Traditional excavation methods can pose significant risks, particularly when working around existing utilities such as gas lines, electrical cables, and water pipes. The precision offered by hydro excavation allows the TwinCon operators to skillfully navigate these hazards without damaging or disrupting essential services. This accuracy reduces the likelihood of costly repairs and ensures continued service, which is critical in urban and industrial environments.

Benefit 2 – Reducing Impact on the Surrounding Environment
By minimizing soil disturbance and preventing contamination from excavated materials, HydroVac technology may reduce how the environment around excavation projects may be altered. This makes it an ideal choice for projects where preserving the natural landscape is a priority. Its method of gently breaking up the soil with water and swiftly removing it via vacuum reduces the spread of potentially hazardous material, thus safeguarding the surrounding ecosystem.

Benefit 3 – Flexible and Efficient
HydroVac technology also excels in versatility. Its ability to perform efficiently in many terrains, from rocky areas to restrictive urban street settings, makes it a valuable tool in a wide range of excavation projects. When traditional excavation methods fall short, hydrovac excavation steps in, offering a solution that can handle difficult-to-reach access points with ease. At TwinCon, we believe this adaptability is just what our customers require. HydroVac technology can meet the demands of any excavation challenge, no matter the complexity.

HydroVac technology stands out as a superior excavation method due to its precision, environmental benefits, and versatility. At TwinCon, we work closely with construction and utility companies who prioritize safe and efficient excavation. HydroVac technology is at the forefront of this evolution, proving to be an indispensable tool for modern excavation projects.

TwinCon remains committed to innovation in everything we do. We are known throughout the Okanagan Valley as a leader. To find out more about how our HydroVac services might work for your next construction excavation project, call us at (778) 646-2082.
